چکیده

| The reduction of power consumption for a system level pipeline is addressed in this paper. The pipeline is composed of several stages. Each stage has several behaviours. Di erent behaviours have di ering execution times. The speed of the pipeline is only a ected by the behaviours on the critical path of the slowest stages. Other behaviours can be slowed down to decrease the power consumed in the system. We propose a multi{voltage supply scheme, in which differing behaviours are supplied with di ering voltages. The formulas for computing the supply voltage of each behaviour and minimal power consumption are derived in this paper. The results of computer experiment show that up to 80% hardware power can be saved with this scheme.

A SURVEY ON THE EFFECT OF SOIL COMPOSITION IN CORROSION BEHAVIOR OF CATHODICALLY PROTECTED BURIED PIPELINES UNDER AC INDUCED CONDITION

Abstract: Due to the expansion of high voltage Alternating Current (AC) power transmission lines and cathodically protected buried pipelines, it is becoming more and more difficult to construct them with enough safe distances between them. Thus, the pipelines are frequently exposed to induced AC interferences, which result in perturbation of Cathodic Protection (CP) due to AC corrosion. To s...

Security-Based Co-Expansion Planning of Gas and Electricity Networks Considering Demand Response

Coordinated expansion planning of power plants has always attracted the attention of power industry planners to arrive at the optimal mix that assures adequacy of energy supply. Here, we model the coordinates for expansion of electricity and gas networks while considering technical constraints, in order to minimize the total cost of investment and operation of electricity and gas networks for a...

Design of an ADALINE Adaptive Filter Based Noise Cancellation Based on Fine-grained Pipelines

In this paper, a design of an ADALINE adaptive filter based noise cancellation based on fine-grained pipelines is presented. The circuit is implemented from 32-bit floatingpoint arithmetic function units which are partitioned into proper fine-grained pipeline stages. Fine-grained pipeline resource-sharing is performed to minimize the circuit size. The ADALINE adaptive filter is implemented on a...

Estimation of Power Production Potential from Natural Gas Pressure Reduction Stations in Pakistan Using ASPEN HYSYS

Pakistan is a gas rich but power poor country. It consumes approximately 1, 559 Billion cubic feet of natural gas annually. Gas is transported around the country in a system of pressurized transmission pipelines under a pressure range of 600-1000 psig exclusively operated by two state owned companies i.e. SNGPL (Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited) and SSGCL (Sui Southern Gas Company Limited). T...

Optimization of energy consumption and offering a procedure for cooling gas compression facilities at gas compression stations

One of the most important methods of transporting natural gas in Iran and other parts of the world is the utilization of a network of pipelines. Compression station and turbo compressor units play an important role in gas supply through pipelines. One of the primary concerns in these units is the reduction of fuel consumption. By cooling of exhaust gas from the source station, the pressure ...
